2 The LORD is a jealous and avenging God, the LORD avengeth and is full of wrath; the LORD taketh vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for His enemies.
3 The LORD is long-suffering, and great in power, and will by no means clear the guilty; the LORD, in the whirlwind and in the storm is His way, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
6 Who can stand before His indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder before Him.
Flotilla activists released white doves of peace when they set out from Istanbul.
With two more vessels due to set sail in the next 48 hours to continue the challenge to Israel's Gaza blockade, Deputy Defence Minister Mattan Vilnai admitted Tuesday, June 1 that the Israeli commando seizure of the six-boat Gaza-bound flotilla Monday, May 31 had its faults. But he stressed the mission was nonetheless bravely accomplished. None of the six vessels reached Gaza port - albeit with regrettable loss of life. While the IDF would learn from its mistakes and do things differently, access to Gaza would continue to be blocked for as long as the Hamas-ruled territory was at war with Israel. The deputy minister contemptuously dismissed furious demands at home for defence minister Ehud Barak to resign, saying the critics had "never go their feet wet." Images of Israeli elite commandos beaten with iron bars - one was thrown off the top deck - have infuriated Israelis.
Vilnai admitted: We underestimated the murderous intentions of the activists aboard the Turkish Marmora vessel and the force of international reaction to televised shots of a brutal situation - real battles never look good on television, he said. In that sense, the organizers of the Turkish-led international expedition achieved their aim. And indeed the UN Security Council early Tuesday capped the chorus of international disapproval by calling for Israel to conduct a prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation of the flotilla incident, condemning acts causing loss of civilian lives and requesting the immediate release of ships and civilians held by Israel.
Vilnai dismissed the avowed humanitarian aims of the convoy, reiterating that the people of Gaza are not hungry; neither is there any humanitarian crisis. Israel supplies its basic needs. Life there is certainly hard, he said, but "It can't be easy to live under a Hamas regime, which throws political opponents off the roofs to their death."
But like most Israeli spokesmen, the deputy minister neglected to drive home the blockade's main purpose: Without it, Iranian ships loaded with ballistic missiles would be free to unload their cargoes at GazaPort - with the same ease as their heavy weapons consignments reach Lebanon. Hamas would quickly grow into a second Hizballah. For Israel, lifting the blockade would be an act of suicide.
Vilnai also missed his aim when he addressed the growing criticism at home of the way the raid was conducted. Much of it comes from veteran naval officers, who were deeply distressed on three counts: 1. They want the defense minister, who was deeply involved in every detail of the operation, to be accountable for its shortcomings. 2. They accuse the minister of sending the naval commandos of the elite Shayetet 6 unit into a clearly violent confrontation without adequate means of defense or options in case of violent resistance because he was afraid of international disapproval. debkafile's military sources quote those officers as maintaining that when the activists on the Turkish Marmara saw that the commandos were virtually tied hand and foot, they were encouraged to extremes of violence. Had they been appropriately equipped, the troops could have quietly taken the helm and diverted the ship to Ashdod and the incident would have ended without loss of life.
3. Hundreds of people milling about on the deck ready to waylay the commandos as they landed were visible from the helicopters before the drops began. A small amount of tear gas would have cleared the decks and enabled the troops to perform their mission cleanly. 4. This was clearly no job for inadequately armed commandos highly trained for different sorts of combat. When Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu returns home Tuesday afternoon, he would do well to back away from mealy-mouthed rhetoric and state clearly in advance that any vessels, civilian or naval, venturing into the 20-nautical mile blockade zone would encounter warning fire first and if it was not heeded, direct fire. Semi-armed soldiers must not be asked to cover for timid politicians.
As for an inquiry into the episode, the IDF regularly holds probes into all operations leading to loss of life as a matter of routine. The Israeli public is just as insistent on a credible investigation as any outsiders.
The condition of all six hospitalized soldiers improved overnight by Tuesday morning.
Altogether 679 activists from 40 countries - most of them Turks and Greeks - travelled on the six flotilla vessels, most of them on the biggest ship, the Marmora. They were all taken ashore at Ashdod port Monday night, after 45 of the injured were earlier flown in to Israeli hospitals. After agreeing to be processed and interrogated by Israeli police and security officers, 48 were deported Tuesday morning. Dozens more preferred jail. The cargoes are being examined for illegal materials, after which Israel will send the legitimate aid supplies to the Gaza Strip overland.
Turkish activists were fully prepared, Israel troops not
Released finally 12 hours after the event, IDF video shots do not show how soldiers armed with paint balls and pistols managed to kill 9 pro-Palestinian activists (Ankara claims 15 Turkish dead) and injure at least 34 aboard the Turkish Marmora. Of 6 injured soldiers, two are in critical condition. Prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, who is flying straight home from Canada, will have to fill in the gaps left by his official spokesmen.

debkafile's military sources report Israeli concerns that on top of strong diplomatic reprisals, Turkey may resort to military steps along with Hizballah and Hamas for the Israel Navy's seizure Monday, May 31, of the Turkish vessel leading the flotilla in which 9 activists died, 33 injured. Turkish chief of staff Gen. Ilker Basbug was recalled urgently to Ankara from a visit to Egypt after Ankara threatened "unprecedented and incalculable" reprisals. Greece halted its joint exercise with Israel in protest.

Israel commandos board boat in pro-Palestinian flotilla
Turkey threatens reprisals, Greece halts joint maneuver with Israel over Israeli naval commando action which killed 9 activists aboard the pro-Palestinian flotilla lead boat 80 miles out at sea. Casualty figures still not confirmed. Passengers attacked the soldiers, opened fire with gun snatched from a soldier and wielded knives and iron bars. The soldiers shot back after 10 were injured. Helicopters ferried all the casualties to Israeli hospitals. Nationwide alert for disturbances declared in Israel and around its borders.
debkafile's military sources report Israeli concerns that Turkey may not confine itself to strong diplomatic retaliation for the Israel Navy's seizure Monday, May 31, of the Marmora, the Turkish vessel leading the flotilla for breaking the Gaza blockade and resort to military action along with the Iranian-backed Hizballah and Hamas. A statement from Ankara threatened "unprecedented and incalculable" reprisals, following which the Turkish chief of staff Gen. Ilker Basbug was recalled urgently to Ankara from a visit to Egypt. Greece has since halted its joint exercise with Israel in protest against the naval action.
debkafile reports from Ankara that the Turkish government is planning to continue pounding the Israeli blockade with more flotillas and have them escorted by Turkish warships and fighter jets. Israel merchant vessels moored outside Ashdod port have been instructed to sail into port and take shelter in case of missile attacks from the Gaza Strip against Ashdod and Ashkelon.
Monday morning, Israeli warplanes headed west over the Mediterranean in support of the still ongoing Israeli commando operation aboard the Turkish Marmora, the scene of violent clashes between Israeli troops and the 600 "peace activists," some of them armed. Ankara later reported 15 dead aboard the vessel.
Israeli army spokesman, Col. Avi Beneyahu, called the incident "an act of terror on the high seas." Far from being a humanitarian mission, the flotilla was sponsored personally by Turkish prime minister Recep Erdogan to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza and permit arms supplies and terrorist to reach the Strip unrestricted. It aimed at provoking a widely publicized international incident with fatalities and showing Israel using strong-arm tactics against unarmed peace-lovers.
Its leaders and the nations involved therefore refused to heed warnings that the vessels would be prevented from entering GazaPort and rejected Israeli offers to ferry their aid cargo overland to the Gaza Strip. Population within missile range of Gaza advised to take shelter in secured areas. An estimated 19 activists were killed battling with Israeli troops, and dozens injured. Official sources cite 10 fatalities, although by Monday afternoon, there were still no official confirmed figures. Ten Israeli soldiers were wounded, two critically. They were all ferried to Israeli hospitals by helicopter.
The pro-Hamas passengers were described as mobbing the Israeli commandos as they were dropped onto the Marmara's deck, using knives and iron bars to beat them and shooting with a sidearm snatched from a soldier and at least two other pistols recovered empty from two of the bodies.
Israeli security forces are preparing for the Lebanese Hizballah and Palestinian Hamas to go back to shooting missiles and rockets against Israeli towns, in support of the seaborne attack on Israeli commandos. The police are also on special alert in and around Israeli Arab communities, after Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniyah called them out on a general strike, and the Holy Places, especially in Jerusalem.
Egypt will face pressure to end its joint embargo on Gaza with Israel at the Arab League Council meeting urgently Tuesday, June 1. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas demanded the session. Demonstrations against Israel were staged in Syrian and Lebanese towns. Jordan hands stiff complaint to head of Israeli diplomatic mission in Amman.

Rahm Emanuel reportedly plans to bring his son to Jerusalem for his Bar Mitzvah, prompting this:
Two notorious, right-wing Jewish activists got wind of the bar mitzvah trip, due to take place next week, and warned Emanuel they would "blow up" the celebration. They accuse Emanuel of being behind President Obama's tough stance against Jewish settlements in occupied territory.
Itamar Ben Gvir and Baruch Marzel wrote to Emanual: "We promise to accompany your son's bar mitzvah events in Israel, we will make sure to receive you as you deserve to be received ... with catcalls and disgust."

The European Union just announced a trillion-dollar bailout of Greece. That means that most of that burden falls on Germany, the financial powerhouse of Europe.
One television commentator said that Angela Merkel wanted a $6 billion bailout, but President Obama pressured her to make it a $1 trillion bailout. Also, President Sarkozy of France and other EU leaders put severe pressure on the German leader to support a large bailout.
Immediately after the Greece bailout was announced, gold prices soared to their highest level ever. It was caused mostly by Germans buying gold. They remember the hyperinflation in their recent history. They know that the euro is becoming a weak and unstable currency.
About 90 percent of the German people are very hostile toward the bailout. They are alarmed because they know that Germany will have to carry most of the financial burden. The people are fearful about their future.
When Germany is strong and the people are alarmed, all of us should be alarmed—especially in a crisis like this. If you understand German history, you know that the Germans are decisive when facing serious crises. History shows that they have repeatedly turned to a very strong leader to deal with a potential or real crisis.
Chancellor Merkel has not sought advice from her coalition partners. That has offended them and makes her even more alone and vulnerable. Her political career is near its end! We are about to see a strong leader rise in Germany—it is prophesied to happen. We have been proclaiming that prophecy for over 60 years. (Request our free booklets Daniel—Unsealed at Last and He Was Right. All of our literature is free.)
That strong man is undoubtedly plotting and planning even now to exploit the political turmoil. (That too is prophesied.)
Angela Merkel went from the queen of German politics to becoming close to a political outcast in six weeks!
We need to see how suddenly this world is moving toward a giant catastrophe! If these words don’t wake those people who are asleep, world events will.
A strong German leader could burst on the world scene as early as this year! He will be the decisive leader that Germans crave in a crisis. He will strike terror in nations as no leader ever has before! Our literature explains who we think he will be.
Several financial authorities are saying that the trillion-dollar bailout of Greece is only buying time. But time for what? Time to fix the problem.
Now let me tell you how it will be fixed. In the next few short years, the European Union will be reduced from 27 nations to 10 kings (or rulers) of the Holy Roman Empire. We have been prophesying this for over 70 years. It will be ruled by Germany, but guided by the Vatican—the only power that can unify those 10 kings. (Request our free booklet Germany and the Holy Roman Empire.)
Ambrose Evans-Pritchard wrote this for the Telegraph media group on May 16: “Chancellor Angela Merkel has put the best face on a deal that has so damaged her leadership. ‘If the euro falls, then Europe fails and the idea of European unity fails,’ she said. Too late, I think. The German nation is moving on. I was struck by a pieceinthe Frankfurter Allgemeine proposing a new ‘hard currency’ made up of Germany, Austria, Benelux, Finland, the Czech Republic, and Poland, but without France” (emphasis mine).
Yes, Germany is moving forward! Already, you can see the thinking that will lead to the 10 kings! But the real power in that union will be Germany. The Germans have been planning to rule Europe and a lot more since before the end of World War ii, when they realized they were going to lose. (That is explained in our free booklet The Rising Beast.)
That statement is shocking to many people. But it shouldn’t be. It is so well documented that a teenager can prove it. I challenge all of our readers to get and study the free booklets we are offering. Then you will know what is going to happen extremely soon in Europe and the rest of the world. •

Violent skirmishes between Egyptian special forces and Bedouin tribesmen have been raging in rugged central Sinai since last Tuesday, May 25, in an effort to shut down the arms- and fighter-smuggling highway they run on behalf of Al Qaeda and the Palestinian Hamas, debkafile's counter-terror sources report.
The tribesmen have developed a lucrative trade as Al Qaeda's main clandestine pipeline for moving weapons and fighters out of the Red Sea countries of Somalia, Yemen and Saudi Arabia and over to Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. The Bedouin also run a regular supply line of arms and goods to the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip through the Sinai tunnels.
Of late, the Bedouin have expanded their service to running fighters and weapons into the Gaza Strip to bolster Al Qaeda-affiliates.
Cairo has determined to shut down the cross-Sinai smuggling traffic which has run out of control.
debkafile's military sources report that the scale of clashes has escalated to a pitch comparable to the Pakistani army's battles against Al Qaeda and Taliban strongholds in the Tribal Areas of Waziristan on the Afghan border. But so far, the Egyptian units have made little headway, although backed by armored personnel carriers, artillery and helicopter gunships.
Saturday, May 29, the Egyptians were forced to retire to El Arish in northern Sinai to recuperate, replenish depleted ammo stocks and collect reinforcements for the next round.
Most of the combat is raging around Wadi Omar, a dry valley in central Sinai bounded by 4,800-ft peaks.
Gen. Mohammad Najab, commander of the Northern Sinai sector, and Gen. Rida Svillan, intelligence chief in that sector, are leading the Egyptians in battle.
The Bedouin, mostly Tarabin tribesmen who control central, north Sinai and the Egyptian-Israel border region, are commanded by Salem Abu Lafi, Al Qaeda's most senior liaison man with the Palestinian Hamas.
In 2008, Abu Lafi broke out of an Egyptian jail and headed back to Sinai, where he raised and trained a Bedouin force for securing the important Middle East smuggling routes.
The Egyptian units battering his mountain strongholds were thrown back by massive heavy machine fire on the few narrow paths climbing up the steep slopes and anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade fire on their APCs. The Bedouin fighters are also using their heavy machine guns to hit Egyptian helicopters.
Cairo has cloaked the entire operation in secrecy. debkafile's military sources calculate that the Egyptian force must be taking casualties - some of them fatalities and including dozens of injured men. .Frictions between the Egyptian authorities and the Sinai tribesmen have worsened since thousands were arrested after a series of bombings of Sinai resorts between 2004 and 2006, even though many were released later. Some of those rounded up admitted that jihadist ideologies had taken hold of young Bedouin tribesmen since the 9/11 attacks on the United States and the strong appearance of Al Qaeda extremists in Egyptian Sinai and Gaza.
