Billboard cartel says no to questioning Obama
Trade group headed by Democrat donor discouraged acceptance of eligibility ad

OAAA chief Nancy Fletcher

WASHINGTON – A fourth billboard company has rejected a campaign designed to raise visibility on questions surrounding Barack Obama's eligibility for office – this time by claiming the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, a trade and lobbying group that claims to promote freedom of speech, actually discouraged acceptance.

The OAAA, headed by President and Chief Executive Officer Nancy Fletcher, a Hillary Clinton financial contributor in 2008, reportedly advised some members not to accept ads from WND that asked, "Where's the birth certificate?"

Fletcher, who refused to respond to WND inquiries about the action of the OAAA, points out on the group's website that "outdoor advertising is regulated by multiple layers of government."

Send a contribution to support the national billboard campaign that asks a simple question: "Where's the birth certificate?"

"Yet while there are so many changes in the industry and in American lifestyles, certain principles haven't changed," Fletcher writes." For more than two centuries, the American republic has drawn strength from its Bill of Rights and the Constitution. The Founding Fathers put a premium on freedom as they wrote clear safeguards against an overbearing government. In particular, the First Amendment protects free speech and the Fifth Amendment protects property rights. Debate is honored and encouraged in a free society. Indeed, people have debated outdoor advertising regulation since the first postings, and debate will continue. As the world changes around us – in ways we perhaps cannot contemplate – we know Americans share deep respect for free expression and for private property."

Iran crisis tightens top-level Israel-Egyptian-Saudi strategic interaction

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report

June 21, 2009, 8:49 PM (GMT+02:00)

Mubarak and Barak - plenty to discuss

Mubarak and Barak - plenty to discuss

Israel's defense minister Ehud Barak said his talks in Cairo Sunday, June 21, with President Hosni Mubarak, Egyptian defense minister Gen. Tantawi and intelligence minister Gen. Omar Suleiman were interesting and wide-ranging. They covered Iran, Lebanon, Gaza, US president Barak Obama's Middle East peace initiative

and the case of the abducted Israeli soldier Gilead Shalit, now three years in Hamas captivity.

A round meeting of all four was followed by separate discussions with the key officials of the two governments five weeks after Binyamin Netanyahu traveled to Sharm el-Sheikh for a conference with the Egyptian president on May 11 shortly before he took office as Israeli prime minister.

DEBKAfile's political sources report The Cairo conference further solidified the understanding forged between Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia six months ago, which none of the parties acknowledge formally.

One of its aspects is Israel's willingness to take its Arab partners' interests into account in its military policy. This consideration guided Israel in ending its Gaza offensive in January short of wiping out the Palestinian extremist Hamas.

The three neighbors are bound by the common objective of halting Iran's Middle East expansion and curtailing its nuclear aspirations by means of diplomatic, military and intelligence cooperation, or alternatively, to minimize the menace posed the region from Tehran.

For most of the time, the three partners have worked together quietly and ad hoc. Then US President Barack Obama and Netanyahu used their speeches to bring the arrangement out in the open when they spoke of a breakthrough in Israel-Arab regional relations to accompany Israel-Palestinian peace talks.

There are no direct Israel-Saudi official contacts, DEBKAfile's Middle East sources report. They use Cairo as a letterbox with Gen. Suleiman hopping over to Riyadh to deliver messages as needed. Israeli and Saudi intelligence chiefs are thought to have had one secret meeting in an Arab capital.

Iran obviously figured high on the agenda of Barak's talks with Egyptian leaders. In fact it was the first time that the two governments had ever admitted to discussing regional affairs unrelated to bilateral or Palestinian issues. There is no doubt that both Jerusalem and Cairo urgently needed to trade views, intelligence input and evaluations on where the unrest in Iran is heading next.

Regarding Lebanon, Egyptian leaders and the Israeli minister explored the implications of the pro-Iranian Hizballah's loss of the March 8 election to the pro-western majory.

On the Palestinian issue, they talked about mending the fences between Fatah and Hamas, a sine qua non for progress in Israel-Palestinian peacemaking.

The Israeli prime minister remarked Sunday as Barak was on his way to Cairo that the demands he made of the Palestinians in his June 14 speech as necessary for peace were not pre-conditions was meant to smooth the way for the minister's talks in Cairo. In that speech, Netanyahu said he would accept a Palestinian state alongside Israel provided it was demilitarized and the Palestinians recognizes Israel as a Jewish state.

OBAMA WANTS YOUR KNIFE

KNIFE PEOPLE MUST SEE THIS NOW

THE GOV. WILL BAN YOUR KNIVES

Pocket knives now in feds’ gunsights

Temporarily stymied in its efforts to move a gun control agenda forward because of strong public backlash, the administration of President Barack Obama is shifting its regulatory focus to pocket knives. No kidding. In a little noted proposed regulatory decision issued in May by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (”CPB”), the administration is seeking to ban the import of any pocket knife that partially opens with a flick of the wrist.

The government is able to reach into the pockets of America’s millions of pocket knife users to limit the type of knife they can own, thanks to a novel and expansive interpretation of the 1958 “Switchblade Knife Act.” This half-century old law prohibited the importation into the U.S.of, or the interstate commerce in, automatic switchblade and stiletto knives. As recently as last August, the CPB interpreted the law with a common sense view, in approving requests by knife companies to import and market new products. Lawful, modern-day pocket knives do not have prohibited, spring-released blades, but many are able to be opened by one hand with a flick of the wrist; and for this reason are very popular, especially with hunters, campers, and handymen. Now, the new administration is moving to revoke “permission” it gave earlier to importers of these popular knives; deciding they are dangerous “switchblades” after all. This is assinine.

If the Obama Administration has its way, such pocket knives will no longer be lawfully imported into the country, and could not be sold or transported in interstate commerce; thus effectively outlawing their sale or shipment.

The Customs agency is playing hardball in this process. It just last week denied a request by the knife industry for additional time to respond to the initial revocation proposal issued in late May; such requests for additional time to comment on such rulings are usually allowed. The government also is allowing only written comments, as opposed to e-mail comments which are normally permitted.

The Obama Administration may be going slow with regard to gun control, but its knife-control effort is on a very fast track.

CONGRESS WORKS LESS THAN THREE DAYS A WEEK!

By Eileen McGann
06.20.2009

By Eileen McGann

How would you like to have a job that required only two or three days a week of work and paid $165,000 a year along with exceptional health care and pension plans?

That’s the deal members of Congress have.

It was supposed to change: Shortly after the Democrats won control of Congress, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced that House members would be subjected to the hardship of working a five day work week. Well, sort of.

According to Hoyer, the House would begin its session each week by 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and finish business by about 2 p.m. on Friday. Not exactly five days, but a big improvement over the average two day work week of the last Congress.

And the Senate promised to reform its schedule, too.

But it turns out that there’s not been much change at all.

Since the beginning of the year, the House has only been in session for 45 days – slightly more than three days a week. That’s better than the Senate’s record – it was only in session for 36 days, an average of less than three days a week.

So far, as of April 11th, neither House has been in session for a single day.

House members are paid $162,500 a year with additional increases for those in leadership roles. Nice work if you can get it, isn’t it?

Private footage of crowd running from explosions, apparent tear gas

TEL AVIV – Clashes between protesters and Iranian security forces heightened today as police reportedly beat protesters and fired tear gas and water cannons at thousands who rallied in defiance of Iran's Islamist government.

Unconfirmed reports put the death toll as high as 150 on the seventh day of post-election protests. Sources at one Tehran hospital confirmed 19 deaths Saturday, according to CNN.

Foreign journalists in Tehran, meanwhile, have been banned from reporting from the streets or attending mass rallies the past few days, prompting news agencies to appeal to Iranians to pass on information.

"Some reports could not be independently confirmed. Foreign news organizations – including the BBC – have been subjected to strict controls which prevent reporters from leaving their offices," read an online news report from the BBC.

The British network, along with other agencies like the Associated Press and the AFP, appealed to those on the streets in Tehran to pass along information and documentation, like photos and video.

The restrictions on the press have been in place since violent protests erupted following the announcement eight days ago of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's disputed re-election.

"If three days from now no journalists are able to testify on what is happening in Iran, it will pave the way for all sorts of abuses," warned Jean-Francois Julliard, secretary general of the Reporters Without Borders organization.

Julliard's group confirming at least 12 journalists have been arrested since last week. His organization staged a rally last week outside the Iranian embassy in France to demand and end to all media clampdowns in Iran.

Obama's dinner joke: Press in bed with me
President laughs at correspondents gala, crediting those who made him 'celebrity'

President Barack Obama joking with the media

At the 65th Annual Radio and Television Correspondents Association Dinner last night, President Barack Obama openly acknowledged that mainstream journalists are to be credited with making him a celebrity and even joked that an NBC news anchor is in bed with him.

"Why bother hanging out with celebrities when I can spend time with the people who made me one?" Obama asked the crowd of black tie journalists and media personalities gathered at the Washington Convention Center. "I know where my bread is buttered."

Learn the media madness from behind the scenes: Read Joseph Farah's "Stop the Presses!"

The president's joke-filled speech included friendly jabs at political allies and foes alike, including Rahm Emanuel, Hillary Clinton and Fox News.

His joke about "NBC Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams, however, raised the ire of critics who have complained about the media's lack of objectivity in granting Obama favorable news coverage:

"I have to admit though, it wasn't easy coming up with fresh material for this dinner," Obama said. "A few nights ago, I was up tossing and turning trying to figure out exactly what to say. Finally, when I couldn't get back to sleep, I rolled over and asked Brian Williams what he thought."

Video of the president's gag lines, including the Williams joke at roughly the 4:40 mark, can be seen below.

Hosea Chapter 5

1 Hear this, O ye priests, and attend, ye house of Israel, and give ear, O house of the king, for unto you pertaineth the judgment; for ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2 And they that fall away are gone deep in making slaughter; and I am rejected of them all.
3 I, even I, know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from Me; for now, O Ephraim, thou hast committed harlotry, Israel is defiled.
4 Their doings will not suffer them to return unto their God; for the spirit of harlotry is within them, and they know not the LORD.
5 But the pride of Israel shall testify to his face; and Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity, Judah also shall stumble with them.
6 With their flocks and with their herds they shall go to seek the LORD, but they shall not find Him; He hath withdrawn Himself from them.
ז בַּיהוָה בָּגָדוּ, כִּי-בָנִים זָרִים יָלָדוּ; עַתָּה יֹאכְלֵם חֹדֶשׁ, אֶת-חֶלְקֵיהֶם. {ס} 7 They have dealt treacherously against the LORD, for they have begotten strange children; now shall the new moon devour them with their portions. {S}
8 Blow ye the horn in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah; sound an alarm at Beth-aven: 'Behind thee, O Benjamin!'
9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke; among the tribes of Israel do I make known that which shall surely be.
10 The princes of Judah are like them that remove the landmark; I will pour out My wrath upon them like water.
11 Oppressed is Ephraim, crushed in his right; because he willingly walked after filth.
12 Therefore am I unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13 And when Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Contentious; but he is not able to heal you, neither shall he cure you of your wound.
14 For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah; I, even I, will tear and go away, I will take away, and there shall be none to deliver.
15 I will go and return to My place, till they acknowledge their guilt, and seek My face; in their trouble they will seek Me earnestly:

GOP's Coburn likes plan to require birth certificates

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla.

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., says it's the responsibility of the states to make sure political candidates are eligible for the offices they seek, but he's in favor of both state and federal demands that future presidential candidates have a formal procedure to document their qualifications.

The relatively strong statement from Coburn on the issue of the eligibility of a president came in a recent letter to a constituent who contacted WND.

WND has reported on a federal plan in the U.S. House by Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., that would require documentation of eligibility from presidential candidates, and Coburn confirmed he would view that positively.

"The bill requires any federal candidates' campaign committee filing with the Federal Election Commission to produce a copy of the candidate's birth certificate," he wrote. "If the bill makes it to the Senate, I will likely support it."

Barney Frank pushes to legalize marijuana
'Criminalizing choices … is not appropriate in a free society'

Rep. Barney Frank

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., wants to legalize marijuana and has introduced legislation that would accomplish his goals.

"Criminalizing choices that adults make because we think they are unwise ones, when the choices involved have no negative effect on the rights of others, is not appropriate in a free society," he said in his new announcement about his plans for two bills.

One proposal would remove federal penalties for using marijuana and the second would let people in states where "medical marijuana" is allowed use it freely.

The cosponsors on the bills include Reps. Ron Paul, R-Texas and Maurice Hinchey, D-N.Y.

"To those who say that the government should not be encouraging the smoking of marijuana, my response is that I completely agree," Frank's statement said. "But it is a great mistake to divide all human activity into two categories: those that are criminally prohibited, and those that are encouraged."

Khamenei in tough sermon defends presidential election, warns protesters

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in stern, uncompromising mode

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in stern, uncompromising mode

In his first public appearance since the disputed presidential election of June 12, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Iran's enemies sought to shake the people's confidence and trust in the Islamic regime. They suffered an earthquake and the Islamic regime won a celebration. Revolutionary Guards commander Mohsein Rezai was the only one of the three losing presidential candidates to be present at the mass-attended Friday sermon at the main mosque in Tehran.

The street rallies, Khamenei charged, were used as the cover for Western "armed terrorist groups" who attacked Bassij militiamen and Tehran University of Tehran students. He said the "street riots" are the wrong way and must stop, or else their leader would be held responsible for the consequences.

Without trust, the voters would not have turned out in such numbers, said Khamenei. He asked rhetorically: How can voting be rigged when there is a difference of 11 million votes [between the candidates]?" and won loud cheers. He criticized the mutually vituperative campaigns of winner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and loser Mir Hossein Mousavi and attacked the allegations of corruption against Rafsanjani and his family. But he said he and the president were close on foreign policy. This was an expression of support for Ahmadinejad's approach to the US.

They shouted "Death to America!" when the supreme leader poured contempt on what he called US repression in Afghanistan, its destruction of Iraq and treatment of the Palestinians.

Khamenei attacked the United Kingdom as the most treacherous of Iran's enemies.

The audience shouted: "Death to the UK, Israel and the US!"

Three months ago, he said, "I heard whispers of a rigged vote." He accused the Zionist-ruled media of stirring up treasonable crowd demonstrations. "But the vote was free and transparent. All the candidates and their campaigns were within the revolutionary establishment. None of the four came from outside. There was no campaign for and against the Islamic regime. The election showed religious democracy for all the world to see and how it brought the people together in solidarity behind the Islamic revolution."

The audience cheered loudly when Ahmadinejad's name was said and again when he said corruption should be fought.

HUMAN GREED BROUGHT THIS GLOBAL DISASTER ON THEMSELVES

Why the Peace Process Is Not Working

June 18, 2009 | From theTrumpet.com

Netanyahu’s speech—and the Arab leaders’ reactions—gets to the heart of the issue. By Richard Palmer

Why is there no peace in Israel? Over the past few weeks, two key leaders gave their views on the matter. To U.S. President Barack Obama, it is the fault of Israeli settlers. To Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, it is the fault of the Arabs for refusing to recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state. Who is right?

“The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements,” said Mr. Obama to much applause in Cairo. “This construction violates previous agreements and undermines efforts to achieve peace. It is time for these settlements to stop.”

But would peace be any easier without the settlements?

Mr. Netanyahu said no in his speech at the Bar-Ilan University on Sunday:

Those who think that the continued enmity toward Israel is a product of our presence in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, is confusing cause and consequence. The attacks against us began in the 1920s, escalated into a comprehensive attack in 1948 with the declaration of Israel’s independence, continued with the fedayeen attacks in the 1950s, and climaxed in 1967, on the eve of the Six Day War, in an attempt to tighten a noose around the neck of the State of Israel. All this occurred during the 50 years before a single Israeli soldier ever set foot in Judea and Samaria.

If settlements were really the root cause of the lack of peace, then surely peace would have been achieved before the settlements even existed.

Mr. Netanyahu pointed instead to a factor that has been in existence from the foundation of the modern nation of Israel until today. The Arab nations simply do not want peace with Israel.

“[W]e must be firmly connected to reality, to the truth,” said Netanyahu. “And the simple truth is that the root of the conflict was, and remains, the refusal to recognize the right of the Jewish people to a state of their own, in their historic homeland.”

If one side refuses to recognize the right of the other to exist, then no amount of haggling over settlements will help. The so-called occupation is not the issue. Israeli prime ministers have actually offered the Palestinians their own state, including half of Jerusalem. The Palestinians merely responded with violence.

In his speech, Mr. Netanyahu outlined several conditions for a peaceful two-state solution. The Palestinians must recognize the right of Israel to exist, and solve the refugee problem outside of Israel’s borders. The Palestinian state must be demilitarized. Jerusalem must remain the unified capital of Israel.

The Arab world’s reaction to Netanyahu’s offer proves what the fundamental problem is with the peace process. “Netanyahu’s demand that Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish state is ruining the chance for peace,” said Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. “Not Egypt, nor any other Arab country would support Netanyahu’s approach,” he said.

Spokesman for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Nabil Abu Rdainah, said that Netanyahu’s speech “torpedoes all peace initiatives in the region.”

Yasser Abed Rabbo, another Abbas aide, said that to recognize Israel’s Jewish character was “to become part of the global Zionist movement.”

One of Abbas’s senior negotiators, Saeb Erekat, said that Netanyahu “will have to wait 1,000 years before he finds one Palestinian who will go along with him with this feeble state.”

Erekat threatened that if Barack Obama did not force Netanyahu to stick with the U.S. road map for peace, then Obama would “close off the path of peace tonight and set the whole region on the path of violence, chaos, extremism and bloodletting.”

Statements like these make it clear why the peace process is not working.

Change in Israeli Policy?

Previously, Israel’s peace process was based on the land-for-peace formula. But Netanyahu’s speech could mark an important break with that position. Geopolitical analyst George Friedman said June 16:

[Netanyahu] did shift his policy dramatically. For, let’s say, the past 40 years Israeli policy has been land-for-peace; that in exchange for a peace agreement, the Israelis would withdraw. Netanyahu changed that position. He said, We have tried withdrawing from territories. We tried withdrawing from Gaza. The response was rockets. We’ve tried all sorts of maneuvers, all sorts of discussions. Every time we get close, it fails. The issue is not, in his mind, land-for-peace. The issue is the recognition of the right of Israel to exist.

As far back as 1996, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote about a prophecy in Hosea 5:13 that states, “When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.” Mr. Flurry explained that the Hebrew word for “wound” indicates that it is referring to the peace process (for more information, see our free booklet Jerusalem in Prophecy). When Israel sees that the peace process is sapping its strength, it goes to Germany for help.

Israel could be starting to see its wound right now. “Many good people have told us that withdrawal from territories is the key to peace with the Palestinians,” said Netanyahu. “Well, we withdrew. But the fact is that every withdrawal was met with massive waves of terror, by suicide bombers and thousands of missiles.” The fruits show that land-for-peace hasn’t worked.

Israel’s relations with America are suffering. In contrast, after Netanyahu’s speech, German Chancellor Angela Merkel invited the Israeli prime minister to Germany. Watch for this relationship to blossom in the future.

Just weeks after a scandal erupted over a Department of Homeland Security report that described as "right-wing extremists" those who oppose abortion and support secure national borders

, another report is revealing that the Department of Defense is teaching that protesters are "low-level terrorists."

The newest action to define those who disagree with positions adopted by the government or administration of the United States

was revealed by blogger Dennis Loo at Salon.com.

He cited a complaint filed by the northern California branch of the American Civil Liberties Union demanding that the Department of Defense change its instructions and those who have been given the training be told of the modifications by "sending out corrective materials."

Shocker! Most Americans know
of Obama eligibility questions
Despite near media blackout on coverage, 49.3% 'troubled,' think he should release birth certificate

President Obama

Editor's note: This is the second of a series of monthly "Freedom Index" polls conducted exclusively for WND by the public opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.

WASHINGTON – It may be the issue few in the media dare address, but a new scientific public opinion survey of a cross-section of Americans shows they are not only aware of questions about Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility for office, but almost half are either "troubled" by the questions or believe he should release all relevant documents including his long-form birth certificate.

Asked if they are aware of the questions raised about Obama's constitutional eligibility for office, 51.3 percent answered affirmatively, while only 18.7 percent said no. Another 30 percent said they were unsure.

"Our polling shows that the questions surrounding Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as president clearly strike a nerve across America, probably because it is a problem that everybody understands," said pollster Fritz Wenzel. "Every American citizen has a birth certificate, and once in a while we all have to produce them to get a drivers license or gain entrance to school. Everyone understands the simple rules – if you don't produce it, you don't get in. And while Obama did get in to the White House, nearly half the country's adults – 49 percent – are troubled by this issue and still want him to produce his official long-form birth certificate."

Fed up with Obama's silence? Support Joseph Farah's campaign to raise awareness of the eligibility issue through a national billboard campaign.

Support rising for eligibility verification demand

Support in the U.S. House for a proposal that would require presidential candidates to provide documentation of how they meet the U.S. Constitution's requirement that the person who occupies the Oval Office be a "natural born citizen" suddenly has quadrupled.

There now are four cosponsors to H.R. 1503 from freshman Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., an amendment to the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971.

According to the Library of Congress bill-tracking website, H.R. 1503 would "require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of president to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution."

Jimmy Carter
JERUSALEM – Former President Jimmy Carter passed a message to Hamas from the Obama administration, according to senior sources in the Islamist group.

The sources did not disclose the content of the purported message or whether the communication was written or oral. They spoke on condition of anonymity, because they said Hamas had not yet reached a decision on officially releasing the information they were divulging.

Separately, in an interview with WND today, Ahmed Yousef, Hamas' chief political adviser in Gaza, refused to confirm or deny that any message was passed to his group from the White House.

Youssef said, however, Carter is the "right person" to serve as a middle man between Hamas and the Obama administration.

"If we have anything to communicate, Carter will be the right person to convey messages from the movement (Hamas) to this (Obama) administration or from the administration to the movement," said Yousef, speaking from Gaza.

Yousef told WND he spent three hours with Carter today, holding private meetings and also showing the former president areas of Gaza that were damaged during Israel's 22-day campaign against Hamas that ended in January.

DR. JAMES D. MANNING - PUBLIC "V"

Dear Friend of MILITEC-1:

I have an important favor to ask you, as a user of MILITEC-1. We’ve avoided making this request, but it has now become necessary. I need you to communicate with your senators and representatives in Congress, telling of your experience with MILITEC-1 weapons lubricant. Congress needs to hear from real-world MILITEC-1 users, to understand its value in combat. This communication to Congress should come from service members, their families, and friends.

You may be aware that Militec, Inc., has been struggling for years to have its product made available again to service members through the regular supply system. Certain Army officials insist that its MilSpec CLP – cleaner, lubricant, and preservative – is perfectly suited to lube your weapons in combat. And they insist that, since MILITEC-1 does not meet MilSpec laboratory conditions, it is not suited for use by you in the real world of combat. Those officials have repeatedly canceled and blocked the National Stock Numbers (NSN’s) for MILITEC-1, and have prevented it from being made available to you through supply channels.

Since 9/11, I have provided over 600,000 free bottles MILITEC-1 to every service member who requested it. I believe that MILITEC-1 provides a live-saving advantage in combat, and I have been determined that all of you will have that advantage, even if I have to give it to you.

Now, I have reached the point where it’s very difficult to provide product to our service members, without the supply system’s purchasing it and shipping it through regular supply channels. I have tried in vain to define the benefits of MILITEC-1 in the field, but Army officials maintain that it must conform to MilSpec as tested in Army laboratories.

Thousands – literally – of your emails to me testify to MILITEC-1's superior performance in field conditions, especially in dry, dusty or desert environments. If service members, including family and friends will share their experiences with MILITEC-1 with their two senators and their representative in the House of Representatives, congressional interest can break the logjam I face in certain Army offices.

I need your help. Please use your own words to describe your experiences with MILITEC-1. Army officials dismiss our field reports as “anecdotal, unsubstantiated evidence.” I believe that the combined experience of thousands of service members is more than anecdotal. Your help now is very important.

Address your letters to: Honorable XXX
United States Senate
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator XXX:

Honorable YYY
U.S. House of Representatives
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Representative YYY:

Don’t worry about other info. It’s not needed. To learn who your senators are for email and mail contact, go to the following website and click your state: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm. For your representative, go to this website and click your state and zip code: https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml.

Your message should be short and clear about MILITEC-1. Ask your senators and representative to consider your position carefully, and to forward it to Representative Steny Hoyer, so he will appreciate the concerns of field users of MILITEC-1. Representative Hoyer is the Majority Leader of the House, and his congressional district in Maryland is home to my company, Militec, Inc.

I sincerely appreciate your support, and your effort, with other service members, families and friends, to help Congress understand the value of MILITEC-1 versus CLP.

Most respectfully, and gratefully,

Brad P. Giordani

President
Militec, Inc.
