Scientists Say California Mega-Quake Imminent: Like a steaming kettle with the top on, pressure is building beneath the surface of California that could unleash a monster earthquake at any time. That's according to a new study from the Scripps Institute of Oceanography. Geologists say Southern California is long overdue for a huge earthquake that could unleash widespread damage. It all comes down to the Salton Sea, which lies to the east of San Diego. The Salton Sea lies directly on the San Andreas Fault and covers more than 350 square miles. more
Salem Unit 2 Nuclear Reactor Shuts Down After Cooling Pump Failure: The Salem Unit 2 nuclear plant remained shut down this afternoon following a problem with a reactor coolant pump, according to a spokesman for the plant’s operator. Salem 2 automatically went offline Sunday at 6:01 p.m. when the coolant pump tripped, said Joe Delmar, spokesman for PSEG Nuclear. When the pump shut down, the auxiliary pump system automatically started to provide water to cool the reactor. The cause of the pump failure is still being investigated, according to Delmar. more
Rumbling Noises Above Alkmaar Holland, Thunder Without A Pause For More Than Twenty Minutes: After a heavy storm I heard a strange constant rumbling, I took my camera into the front garden and filmed the grey sky, it sounded like thunder, it must have been thunder only it didn't stop for more than twenty minutes, I only managed eight minutes of film as my battery was low but the rumbling and lightning just carried on and on, the rumbling stopped but came back constantly for the next hour or so. I can honestly say I have never witnessed anything like this before. more

Edward Kennedy FBI letter discloses secret Japan funding for rogue CIA faction in US
A Rothschild family source has released a cache of top-secret FBI documents. One of these is marked: "Top secret, to Senator Edward Kennedy - for his eyes only."
The text discloses that Japanese Prince Hiruko Watanabe, a cousin of the former Emperor Hirohito, provided George Bush Snr and his aide Richard Armitage with secret funds without the knowledge of the US government. These funds were used to manage political bribery and assassinations in Japan, and to help finance a rogue element within the US CIA which is controlled by the Bush syndicate.
In Japan, one of the Bush syndicate's bagmen was Soichi Iisuka. He laundered political slush fund money through the Mitsui Bank in Tokyo.

Slog tipper Nick says he spotted this SPD car parked in front of the Roosevelt Hotel on Pine in downtown Seattle last night just after 9 PM. There were no cops in the car, says Nick, no cops on the sidewalk, no cops anywhere. Just a cop car with an assault weapon sitting on the trunk.
